Gaurang started his initial training of Indian Classical Music at an early age of 8 years from his father and Guru Dr. Laxmikant S. Doshi, who is a very well known artist, performing on the Sarod since nearly 50 years. Dr. Laxmikant took his training from Late Pandit Damodarlal Kabra (Jodhpur).
 
Gaurang was the recepient of the first prize of the prestigious Omkarnath Contest. Since then, his live performances in concerts, at various parts of India, United Kingdom, and the USA, have been appreciated & cherished by audiences.

His Lecture - Demonstrations at Schools, Colleges & Universities have been informative in creating awareness for Sarod, Sitar and Indian Classical Music.
 
He teaches the Sarod, Sitar & Tabla, in the North Carolina, USA. He also teaches Indian Classical Music to music teachers/performers specializing on the Guitar, Violin and the Mandolin.
 
Gaurang has contributed in keeping alive, the traditions of the purest Indian Classical Music. He does research on musical therapy and meditative qualities of Indian Music.
 
He is a promising young artist, performing as per the traditions of the "Maihar Gharana"
